The funds are required for construction of flyover, grade separator ROB/RUBs at various places near the games village/venues to ensure smooth movement of traffic.
Some roads near venues required to be widened and other roads near tourist spots, prominent markets and historical places have to be improved by resurfacing, installation of better signages, decorative street furniture, better street lights and repainting, so that these look neat and clean and can be brought to international standards.
It is proposed to provide 50 mechanical sweepers and decorative dustbins for better sanitation and cleaning.

The roads connecting Airport with City and games village have to be widened for ensuring smooth movement for athletes and officials apart from providing bye-passes at Mahipalpur and Masoodpur.
One tunnel connecting NH 24 and Neela Gumbud near Nizammuddin for relieving stress on Bhairon Marg and ensuring faster movement for athletes/officials between Games Village and JLN Stadium which is the venue for a number of events besides opening and closing ceremony.

200 air-conditioned buses are needed for assured movements of athletes/officials during the events as these may not be available with private operators.
However, efforts will be made by the Transport Department to rope in private operators in this regard as much as possible.
800 deluxe buses are needed for using them as ‘Shuttle and ‘Park & Ride’ for the spectators by the Transport Department through private operators or the Delhi Transport Corporation.
The Govt. of NCT of Delhi is trying to involve the private operators but this much of good quality buses may not be available.
After the games are over these buses can be given to DTC for operating on Inter State routes buses or phasing out its old fleet.

A 50-bedded hospital required to be set up in Games Village for providing immediate health cover to the athletes. The nearby 5-6 hospitals namely L.N Hospital, LHMC, Sushruta Trauma Centre, MJRM Hospital, G.B. Pant Hospital will be equipped with MRI, CT Scan, ICUs facilities, so that they can serve as a back up for any emergency.
The existing ambulances services of CATS is not sufficient, it need to be strengthen by adding 50 fully equipped ambulances at the cost of Rs. 10 lakhs per equipped ambulance.


TALKATORA STADIUM

Improvement of roads, parking, parks, etc. in NDMC areas, C.P., Central Vista, roads around stadia, etc. have been planned for works to be taken up by NDMC.
The Talkatora Indoor Stadium is game venue for Boxing and need to be upgraded by preparing new flooring, exterior finish, computerization, electrical/electronics installations.
The upgradation of Central Vista and Connaught Place and its environs need to be upgraded, as this is a main tourist hub. The requirement for Central Vista and Connaught Place is only a part requirement of funds and NDMC is meeting the main cost of the project i.e. Rs. 150 Crores from a Central Plan Scheme and its own funds.
